Due to forecasts of potential inclement weather from area meteorologists, city officials have made the decision to move the Christmas Parade to Monday, December 16th. We are still going to utilize the adjusted parade route announced earlier this week.

We have also adjusted the time to 7 p.m. in order to allow everyone time to get off work and join us.

"Sometimes, rescheduling an event can be a challenge," stated Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. "In an effort to insure a safe and enjoyable parade, we've considered many factors in making these adjustments. Hopefully, the changes we have made will accommodate our Partners of Prattville and our traditional Christmas parade will be the blessing to the community that it has always been. I hope everyone will join me there as we enter this most blessed of seasons celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Parks and Recreation/Special Events will continue to take applications for participation in light of the scheduling change.
