Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr., the City of Prattville, and the merchants and business owners of Prattville Downtown Unlimited (PDU) will once again help children celebrate an afternoon of trick-or-treating at the annual Candy Walk event, scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, 2013.

Toddlers through second-graders can trick-or-treat from 4-6 p.m.; the walk begins at Prattville City Hall. All children who are participating in the event are asked to bring a non-perishable canned food item to be donated to Autauga Interfaith Care Center (AICC).

"We always enjoy this fun event and look forward to welcoming all the ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and other costumed trick-or-treaters that will make their appearance at the annual Candy Walk. This is a safe, free Halloween tradition that children and parents enjoy," said Parks and Recreation Director, Kellie Cook.

Halloween will be observed on Thursday, October 31, 2013, with recommended hours of trick-or-treating between 5:00-8:00pm. For more information on this event, please call the City of Prattville's Special Events office at 595-0854.
