The City of Prattville is excited to announce plans for the City’s annual Christmas events. The Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Thursday, December 1, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and promises to have fun surprises for all ages. The 30’ Christmas Tree will be the center of attention with the picturesque backdrop of the Autauga Creek Spillway decorated with an amazing array of lights. The event will be full of music, children’s activities, fun characters, and, of course, a visit from Santa.

Everybody loves a parade and on Friday, December 2, Prattville’s Christmas Parade will roll through Downtown Prattville. Participants will decorate with the idea of what Christmas means to them: a special Christmas memory, a favorite Christmas carol, even a favorite Christmas toy. The parade starts at 7:00 p.m. and applications are available by visiting the City of Prattville website or calling the Special Events Office.

Prattville is once again excited to have an “ice” skating rink added to the list of fun holiday activities this year! Enjoy ice skating with your family and friends on the banks of the Autauga Creek under the lights of the at Heritage Park. Cost is $5 per person for 30 minutes and includes skates.

For parade applications, ice skating FAQs or for more information about these events, contact the Special Events Office at 334-595-0854 or visit the website at www.prattvilleal.gov.
