The Prattville Creative Art Center and Gallery is pleased to host an art exhibit by Prattville artist, Peggy Sue Raines, during September. The exhibit, Serendipity, will be on display through September 30, with a reception on Tuesday, September 20, at 5:30 p.m.

Ms. Raines is an award winning artist and art instructor and shows her work in many venues throughout the River Region, including the Prattville gallery. Raines works in many different art media, with a bright and colorful palette.

Merriam-Webster describes serendipity as “a gift of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for.” According to Raines “with art, you find many wonderful things as your brush and paint take you through the journey of creating.” From colorful abstracts and a whimsical polka dot cat to herons, dogs, and fun clay fish, this exhibit is great for the entire family.

This exhibit is sponsored by the City of Prattville and the Prattauga Art Guild. The exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public. The Prattville Creative Arts Center and Gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is also open by appointment by calling the Cultural Arts office at 334-595-0850.
